IGN’s 8/10 review stated: “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla offers a beautiful, massive open world fueled by the brutality of life and the dirty work done by conquerors.” It’s a bit buggier than expected, but impressive on many levels.
Resident Evil 2 was the second big game of January. The 2019 version recreates the popular survival horror title for a contemporary audience.
The players can take on the roles of Leon S. Kennedy, who is starting his first day of work as a Raccoon City police officer during a zombie outbreak, or Claire Redfield as she searches for her brother. Both characters are forced to face a series of horrifying challenges in these intertwined storylines.
IGN’s 9/10 review said, “This is how you remake an old classic.” Resident Evil 2 masterfully recreates the terrifying atmosphere and extreme tension of the original.
We Happy Few, another horror game with a spooky vibe, will be joining Xbox Game Pass this January. The game follows a group who are trying to escape a cheerful lifestyle prescribed by the government.
They must forcefully navigate through some terrifying citizens in order to achieve this. IGN’s 7/10 review said that “There is a great story hidden in We Happy Few but you will have to overcome some repetitive levels.”
