Japanese well known architecture studio Nikken Sekkei were asked to design a new and advanced japness airports terminal for low-cost airline travellers at Tokyo Narita airport, for half the price of what it would usually cost – it was not a easy job to be done.
Nikken Sekkei opted to leave out got the standard moving walkways around the working space and illuminated signs, to cut costs, and chose to replace them with some more minimal, attractive visuals. The running tracks also fit in a nice way with the upcoming 2020 Japanese Olympics.
