Allah uses the husband-wife relationship in marriage with the metaphor of ‘Libas’, which literally means garments so ofcourse we wonder what does the metaphor mean in a wedding? Atleast there are two basic functions of garments clothing as start in QS. Al A’raf Verse 26 and QS An Nahl verse 81. The basic functions to garments are to cover ‘aurat’ and to provide protection.

Holy prophet (P.B.U.H) Said: “Allah is pleased when a husband plays with his wife, due to this he fixes thawab (good reward) for them or he establishes halal rizq (lawful sustenance) for them.”

So there is no difference between joining them in their festival and joining them in their other rituals. Agreeing with the whole festival is agreeing with disbelief. Agreeing with some of their minor issues is the same as agreeing with them in some of the branches of disbelief”– Via
